First Nations, Metis and Inuit Special Interest Group
This SIG is a group specifically designed for First Nations, Métis and Inuit individuals interested in and/or working in the arts, culture and heritage field. It includes organizations, individuals, and those working at a grassroots level.
The SIG is an opportunity to network, share experience and resources, discuss ideas, and identify types of ongoing support that are needed. The SIG serves as a liaison between the Museums Association of Saskatchewan and First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities/organizations. It supports established heritage sites, communities that want to develop heritage sites, and those concerned and active in cultural heritage issues.
We are always seeking new members to join our discussions, plan professional development opportunities, and connect with others in the arts, culture, and heritage community. If you are an individual of First Nation, Métis, and/or Inuit descent, committed to cultural preservation, and actively participating in cultural heritage issues, we encourage you to contact MAS (see contact information below) to find out more!
