Museum Shops

The Museum Shops SIG brings together gift shop managers and staff (paid or volunteer) from cultural institutions around the province. The purpose of the SIG is to provide support and opportunities that will lead to achieving the goal of increased revenue-generating capabilities of all shops. Members of the SIG believe that museum shops offer quality products that reflect the mandate of the institution and further its educational role, as well as providing needed income for the institution. In Saskatchewan, as everywhere else, non-profit retail is quickly becoming integrated into the total museum experience and allows the visitor to take home a part of that experience.
