The Lumsden Historical Museum is located in a scenic hollow beside the railway track in the centre of town. The museum is made up of four pioneer buildings, a modern machine shed and two buildings used as a livery stable and blacksmith shop. Each of the pioneer buildings - church, house, school and community hall - contain artifacts that depict early district history.

  • 1920s village depicted with local artifacts in the Hunter House, Kedleston School, Tregreva Hall, reconstructed Forest Church, blacksmith shop, stable and general store
  • of special interest are our Bill Ogilvie Memorial Lily Garden, John Deere Tractors and agricultural implements including a handmade stone flour grinder, and an Illingsworth Kerr display
