Networks
Networks
Networks are regionally-defined groupings of MAS member museums. Each
is unique with its own individual identity and ways of working.
Networks meet regularly to share information & ideas, discuss
issues & concerns and work together on joint projects. Each network
appoints a volunteer Network Representative to coordinate its
activities and provide a liaison with MAS staff and board. Networks are
a valuable member group within the Museums Association and have become
an increasingly important vehicle for consultation for both MAS board
and staff.
The key roles for the networks are:
- to facilitate communication between:
- MAS board & staff and network members;
- Networks;
- museums within a network;
and - to facilitate collective activities and projects within individual networks.
