Network Knowledge Exchange
Designed in consultation with museums participating in MAS Networks, the Network Knowledge Exchange builds the capacity of community museums to access and implement resources needed to operate effectively as public institutions. Build connections, develop new knowledge and skills, and find out about new resources that support core museum functions by attending an NKE session. The two-hour sessions are usually held at the spring gatherings of the individual Networks.
The session topics are chosen in consultation with the Network Representatives group in order to meet the current needs of museum workers throughout the province. The sessions are designed and facilitated by experts in the identified topic area.

WINTER-SPRING 2010
This spring, MAS is pleased to offer an approximately two-hour session at each Network meeting focusing on our new resource -The Advocacy Guide: Tools and Tips. After a basic introduction to the Guide and its key concepts, small groups will work through a case study modeled after advocacy issues that museums face in their own communities and share their plan, challenges and solutions with the larger group. This session will result in a greater understanding of advocacy and how your museum can use the Advocacy Guide to assist with your own needs and priorities.
